Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream - facial cream moisturizes and protects stressed skin while strengthening its barrier against external irritants. Hydro Barrier Cream is suitable for all skin types - including sensitive skin - for daily use.

The cream contains panthenol, which protects the skin from moisture loss and also has a soothing effect on minor skin inflammations, itching, and redness. Madecassoside derived from the centella plant calms and repairs the skin.

Hydro Barrier Cream's formula is a bit lighter and more gel-like than the Etude Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream.

Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. The 10 Free formula means it does not contain animal-derived ingredients or potentially irritating ingredients for the skin, such as mineral oil, parabens, synthetic fragrances, colorants, silicone oil, PEG compounds, Triethanolamine, Polyacrylates, or formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.

Moisturizer is the important final step in the skincare routine. Apply after other skincare products excluding face oils and sunscreen. Always patch test new products to ensure they suit your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. Apply a small amount to an area like the neck and wait 24–48 hours to check for any reactions.

If skin irritation, such as redness, swelling or itching occurs after use or exposure to sunlight, stop use of the product and consult a doctor if necessary. Do not use for broken skin. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes and rinse with water if the product gets into the eyes.

Frustration

I first tested the cream on my hand for several days, no reaction. An absolutely shocking rash/reaction on the face on the second day, the skin literally burned and peeled off. I've never had a reaction to any product before, so it was a shock. I let the skin heal for a couple of days and tested again, same reaction. My skin is too sensitive for this on my face for some reason. I don't use any acids, retinol or harsh products, so it couldn't react with anything. So I especially recommend people with sensitive skin to be careful, because I had only heard good things about this, so I didn't expect something like this. Vex.

Good product!

I feel that this moisturizer does not irritate my sensitive, dry, acne-prone skin in any way. Not too greasy either. In winter, it is not enough to moisturize even drier skin.
