Madagascar Centella Soothing Cream is a slightly more lightweight and gel-like version of Skin1004's Centella Cream. The moisturizer soothes the skin and strengthens its protective barrier, making it less prone to dryness and less sensitive to external stimuli.

The cream contains ingredients that occur naturally in the outer layer of the skin: ceramides, fatty acids and cholesterol. These ingredients help repair and strengthen the skin. Centella Asiatica improves skin renewal and collagen production and soothes inflamed and irritated skin.

Beta-glucan and hyaluronic acid moisturize the skin, making it plumper and softer.

The gel-like formula spreads easily and absorbs into the skin quickly. The light brown shade of the face cream comes from the natural color of the plant extracts.

Moisturizer is the important final step in the skincare routine. Apply after other skincare products excluding face oils and sunscreen. Always patch test new products to ensure they suit your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. Apply a small amount to an area like the neck and wait 24–48 hours to check for any reactions.

If skin irritation, such as redness, swelling or itching occurs after use or exposure to sunlight, stop use of the product and consult a doctor if necessary. Do not use for broken skin. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes and rinse with water if the product gets into the eyes.

Centella's antioxidants calm the irritated by relieving inflammation and reducing redness. It also improves and regenerates the skin and supports collagen production. In addition, centella brightens and evens out the skin tone, helps the skin retain moisture and reduces the visibility of scars.

Centella can have many different names depending on which part of the plant has been used, or what kind of extracts and oils have been made from it; eg Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract and Centella Asiatica Root Extract. In many cultures, including Korea, centella is also known as Tiger grass or Tiger herb. The name comes from the legend that wounded tigers would seek out wild centella and rub themselves on the plant's leaves to heal.
