Seerumi lisätään kasvoveden, hoitonesteen ja ampullin jälkeen, ennen kosteusvoidetta. Seerumi sisältää aktiiviaineita suurempina pitoisuuksina kuin hoitoneste, mutta pienempinä kuin ampulli.
